I get it once every so often with Kmail, rebooting seems to sort it out though. 
If I'm using Gnome's pppd I can get a connection everytime, but the daemon dies
the second I touch anything whether it's Balsa, Netscape, Lynx, whatever.  Any
ideas anyone?
