io=0x300 for one of my ne.o machines, IIRC, although obviously different on
some machines. pnpdump gives some helpful information sometimes (depending
whether or not your board is PnP, and *how* PnP it is ;). If it's non-PnP,
there's usually jumpers on the board to allow you to configure this.
Although, if modprobe works straight off, you may not need to pass any
options.

Same goes for Mandrake, and probably a few others too. sndconfig is the best
tool I've ever seen for configuring sound cards under Linux, it's the only
one that's got mine right. Although, I've never tried Lothar, etc., so maybe
stuff has moved on ;) SuSE seems to make hard work of it though, even with
OSS (talking 6.1 here, maybe 6.3 is different).
