occational lost mail

hi,

i don't know if anyone can help with this one.

my email works fine most of the time BUT, i'm having trouble sending mail to
one particular server. the administrator for this site tells me that no special
restrictions have been placed on incomming mail and that it must be my config
which is faulty.

when i have problems sending, it's always with 'sendmail' . if i use direct
SMTP, i have no problems (even with this suspect server) all mail submitted to
this group is via 'sendmail' so it does work! the mail is never returned, just
disappears into the 'net' somewhere!

any idea's?
