Just reading my way through the Linux Network Administrators Guide
from O'Reilly.  Olaf Kirch and Terry Dawson. 

Page 100 goes on about running named.  Next page is the named.boot
file. Then goes into the BIND 8 host.conf file with the explanation
that most people are still using it.  I've got BIND 9 on a CD in front
of me.  Came with SuSE 7.0.  Thought I might try that but then thought
that I would have a clue what to do with it.

I'm off for a pint in about 50 minutes with Craig Andrews.  

Now got the newly re-installed desktop/workstation going with Reiser
FS over the network.  What a session that was.  Got the firewall going
but now I need to work out some more rules for it.
