[Sheflug] Newly installed machine, still no network!

Hi again everyone.

OK, I've got a P200 that I want to stick on my network as a fileserver,
but it's having none if it.
I've posted most of this in another thread, but this has nothing to do
with Debian, so I'm reposting, and crying for help (as always ;-).

The system is a clean RH7 install, with a 3com 509 ISA NIC. It's IP is
192.168.0.6 on my network.

As previously described, the card seems to be working (I'm sure I've
used it in another box to install OpenBSD over the network).
My hub flashes the right lights when I run the "ping 192.168.0.1"
command...

I don't have tcpdump on the machine, and I'd have to stick a CDROM drive
into the box to get it on the machine.

Basically, I'm getting consistant "no route to host" or "host
unreachable" errors.

What are the things to check?

 Baz.
