I hate violent electrical storms. UPS's from experience are no use. One of
our subs got hit once, and the surge blew all the MCBs out on the back of
the APC UPS's. Twelve hours later when we'd restored everything...

Oh no, did they also turn the telly off and unplug it and then did the
sysadmin go and sit in the cupboard under the stairs until the storm had
passed? (my gran used to)
