Laptop question

Theoretical question...

I have a choice between 2 laptops.. the specs are:

486 DX50
8Mb
260Mb HDD
CD-ROM drive   <--- IMPORTANT
TFT colour 11" screen
pcmcia ports
etc
etc

for £187


OR

P120
24Mb
1.0Gb HDD
NO CD-ROM DRIVE   <--- IMPORTANT
TFT 11" colour screen
all the gubbins

£305

Both come with sound, and built in pointer (although P120 has touchpad,
486 has nipple thingumy)

Which do I go for? I know that th P120 would be best, but with no CD,
how could I get SuSE 6.3 onto it from my desktop machine? (Note only a
10M Null modem cable available, bleurgh!)

Advice please <fast if poss>
