[Sheflug] Internet Problem.

This is a good one, I have been on the internet since Christmas, and
I have had a problem with it which I just haven't been able to
understand. So I will just have to ask for help :-)

I can connect to an ISP and do everything I should do - most of
the time. I connect to freeserve. I have problems with connection if
the program was launched before the internet connection was
established (with wvdial) For instance Kmail will not send email
without being restarted. Pan will not download news without being
restarted, even though it seems to think its online. Wwwoffle will not
find website until the demon has been restarted. Netscape however can
allways find the web site. Emails sent offline to sendmail will not
be delivered even though there is an entry in /etc/ppp/ip-up
"sendmail -q &".

Im assuming all of these things are connected.

The system was set up by yast. (SuSE 6.3)
