[Sheflug] Power Failure - Dead machine. What to check?
Hi all.
I suffered a 90min power outage (with a few quick on/off flicks shortly
after the inital loss) last night, and one of my machines (an old P75)
failed to come back up again.
Unfortunately, I've only got my firewall and main workstation on the
UPS.
This P75 (straight on the mains) is serving as a webcache and I'd like
it back to play with :-)
The fuse in the kettle lead hasn't blown, and I've got the PSU apart to
check the fuse (6.3A) in that. However, is there anything obvious I can
check?
Is the PSU going to take the hit if there was any kind of surge, or is
it going to take the mobo+chips out? Can't see any obvious damage.
Cheers.
Baz.
