I doubt it will be in 2.4.1. 2.4.10, maybe. I think Mr. Pranevich has gone a
little overboard on that one. I seem to recall that the latest reiserfs's
are different to the previous ones, also, requiring people with older
partitions to reformat...

ext2.fsck won't touch anything that's not an ext2 partition. Otherwise, you
wouldn't be able to dual boot because fsck.ext2 would hose your DOS
partition every time.. just follow the reiserfs instructions and you'll be
fine.
Also, _make_ _sure_ you create a boot disk. If you don't, no standard boot
disk will be able to read your root partition. So, if you screw lilo (for
example), you screw the whole machine. You'll just get a kernel panic every
time you attempt to boot.
