The consumer, yes. The point is the other side of the cash register.
_Vendors_ like credit cards because the banks pay for a lot of the
disputes. In debit cases the banks' margins are much thinner, so
they're a lot nastier about getting their money back from the
vendors. In the US, anyway.

The little VISA logo opens a lot of doors, as Richard pointed out.
You _pay_ by DD, with all the advantages that gives you; the vendor
_sees_ VISA, with all the privileges that gives you. Best of both
worlds.
