Hmm, I think you are confusing debit and credit cards. Credit cards give
you a lot of protection.

Don't see the distinction (other than higher interest rates). DDs are
pretty powerful if you know what you are entitled to. e.g. you can
retrospectively revoke a DD payment for up to a year later. Good banks
will make you aware of these things.
