3 or 4 hour sessions at 43500 bps (the most I get out of my phone line -
yes, I got the gain cranked up) is long to me. Or at least it seems so!

been there, got the driver, locked the kernel :( The Ambient chipset is
unfortunately not the one supported by the current very early Alpha Ambient
driver, & won't even respond to the very limited set control commands. I'm
no programmer (even REM frightens me!) so I can't do anything about it
except email the developer.
