The easiest thing to do is to set your Reply-To: header to
whatever you want. The From: header can also be suitably "hacked" in the
same way. I set this in the MUA (mutt in this case). You can use
masquerading, but for a dial-up machine, I believe (some RFC?) it's
better to use the Reply-To: header (of course, I could be wrong, but
again, it's been working fine for the last couple of years here :D)

You can do that. Look in customize->mail->message (or
thereabouts). I've done that last night on the 'puter at home.
