Re: [Sheflug] EMacs for mail - nearly there!!!
Well,
after quite a bit of time, I figured I should at least put some
effort into figuring out this whole mail client/XEmacs/Emacs malarky.
So here you go...Baz's first (well, second...I sent a test message to
myself first).
Turns out that XEmacs (VM) rewrites the From header to make sense. It
knows I am TheEnglishman@ecosse.net and not baz [at] flux.localdomain,
although this is noted in the headers on outbound emails - is this
going to cause problems with some mailservers?
One thing I need - please, please - someone (Stephen?) tell me how the
"£)*&£% I set the background colours in this damned program!!! :-)
I hate this default gray, and I can't for the life of me find the
option in the customize menus.
The other thing is the .signature - or the lack of it. Can't find the
option for that either.
Is there a webpage and/or a man page that tells me roughly where to
find these things?
Cheers,
Baz.
